• Ultimately, I am most concerned with the safety of your companion. If you believe that It’s best for your dog to be on-leash (whether in-studio or outdoors) then that is the best option! I can edit the leash out of photos when it is present!

Otherwise, collars and leashes are not required during studio sessions due to them taking place in pet-friendly and private areas where your dog can freely be themselves for the photos!

For outdoor photos at parks or conservation land, it is generally against the rules to have a dog off-leash. Again… the leash can be edited out, though! If we are in your yard or another private area, then I am totally fine with abiding by the owner’s wishes.

  • Considering that I genuinely enjoy the entire process, I tend to work relatively fast. This being the case, it is still absolutely worthwhile to take more time for editing when the vision for an image calls for it. Due to this, I do ask for two full weeks of editing time before delivery of your photos.

  • You will likely receive them in less than 2 weeks. I’ll keep you updated and you’ll receive a tracking number (or numbers) for your order!

  • I appreciate the question! My favorite way to describe this situation is very similar to the professional photography experience which you’re already familiar with. For example, you likely have a phone which is capable of taking “nice” pictures. Still, it’s reasonable to contact a photographer when serious quality and editing is needed for a special occasion. That’s where I come in! It’s quite the same with having prints made. Can you technically take your digital photo files to Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, or a random online vendor to have prints made? Absolutely, but these photos are certainly worth more than what the results of that will produce. If you have pro-quality pictures, have pro-quality prints which are worthy of such a thing (especially when on display in your home and honoring your pet)! I have a running account with a lab that specializes in gallery/archival-quality printing. I have their software and ICC profiles… and know how to use it all! My editing monitor is also regularly calibrated and I have the editing capabilities to match the look of a digital photo onto a print. Just as there is much more to photography than pointing a camera, there is more to printing than sending a file.

  • I currently have red, purple, black, yellow, blue, green, and pink! Is there a different color that you’d like to see here? Let me know!

Saturday, I am available all day… from early-morning (sunrise/golden-hour) to sunset. Sunday, I am available from morning (golden-hour) to 4:00pm. This schedule is for outdoor photo sessions. Indoor/studio sessions are held on exclusive days dedicated to the experience!

  • I will photograph any pet that you have!

  • Yes! I’ve worked with shelter and foster dogs, as well as dogs with zero obedience training and the photos are beautiful! Our photoshoots are fun experiences and not restricted to highly obedient dogs. I do recommend that you bring something that they value highly, be it their favorite toys or treats. Catching their attention for brief seconds in all that I need! I bring my own tools for that as well and ultimately; it has never failed!

  • That sounds fun! Let’s do it!

  • Studio photos are taken at dedicated locations and on exclusive days. For outdoor photos, local public parks/land are best! That said, I am also open to photographing in your home’s yard if you prefer!

  • These photos are worth getting right. If that means postponing to a later date, no worries!

  • Typically, an outdoor photo session lasts around two hours, but it’s best to prepare for two-and-a-half hours, just in case!

For indoor sessions, these are one hour!

  • I recommend giving your dog a potty break before their photoshoot. That said, no dedicated exercise is recommended! Photoshoots themselves can be an involved activity for your pet, so having energy is good thing! A slower pace will always be an option depending on your pet’s temperament, though!

Having their favorite treats or toys on-hand to capture their attention is also a great idea! If you want to be in photos, feel free to dress as you wish with that in mind. If you bathe your pet or have them groomed, it would be a great idea to have that done sometime before the photoshoot.

One thing that is always worth keeping in mind is that your pet does not have to “perform” for their photoshoot. Let them come as they are and everything will be great!

  • Fine art framed prints, metal, canvas, and acrylic of the highest quality! Not sure exactly what these are? No worries! You’ll see examples during your print review session!

  • Absolutely! Please let me know about your dog’s special needs and we can work with that in mind.

  • Yes, and I’ll do it for free! Contact me!

  • Reasonable question! In fact, I wrote an entire article on answering this question for you! Feel free to view it on my blog page HERE!
