Hi, I’m Kamerun (your pet’s personal photographer)!

Before I owned professional photography equipment, I loved dogs. This is why I couldn’t sit back and watch when tornadoes ripped through the dog facility at Purina Farms, causing significant damage. At the time, I didn’t have a business… but I had a pair of hands that could be put to work. I reached out to them, and their response would change my life.

They said that the best thing I could do is volunteer at a local shelter to ensure that their displaced dogs were being walked and interacted with. This was the beginning of a powerful relationship between myself and shelters around St. Louis. I took their words to heart and began volunteering (and yes, I was able to directly care for the Purina Farms dogs in need of help)!

One thing couldn’t escape my mind about all of the adoptable shelter dogs now in my presence. They were incredibly beautiful and expressive in-person, yet their intake/website photos showed them scared and sad. Mind you, this is at no fault of shelter staff! They are very busy and not equipped to take professional photos which show the dogs as they truly are… but what if I could?

I got a camera. Not only that, but with the camera eventually came all of the quality gear that is ideal for taking stunning portraits. Now with access to these amazing tools and delving deep into photography courses and studying this subject with the best resources available, I began taking shelter photos and watching these amazing dogs get adopted.

After further experience working with all variety of breeds, ages, and levels of training, I determined that these photos which are capable of saving the lives of dogs may also be valuable enough for paid clients who simply adore their pets. The response was resounding!

This leads us to where we are today. Now as an international award-winning pet photographer and having numerous successful studio and outdoor sessions with happy clients throughout St. Louis, you have the opportunity to have your own pet(s) seen through my lens!
